Which companies, initiatives or agencies in Mainz and Rheinhessen currently stand out for their exceptional wine tourism offers? This was the question facing our expert jury as they looked through entries for the Best of Wine Tourism Awards 2024. Who would walk away as a winner in one of the seven prestigious categories?
After much deliberation, the seven-member jury, chaired by Manuela Matz (Head of Economic Affairs and Viticulture for the City of Mainz), came to a decision on 6 September 2023: “As always, it wasn’t an easy choice for us to make this year – we had 18 very good entries that demonstrated creativity and commitment to wine tourism. The seven new award winners are excellent ambassadors for Mainz and Rheinhessen – for tourists and locals alike – because there’s so much to discover in our wonderfully diverse region!”.
This year’s winners will be awarded a corporate video made especially for their companies, as well as other marketing and PR initiatives from the international “Great Wine Capitals” network to help spread the word about their appealing products and services.
Gala event with awards ceremony
The winners of the Best of Wine Tourism Awards 2024 have been honoured at a gala event taking place at the Winzerkeller in Ingelheim on 13 October 2023.
