A severe drought in 2020 followed by difficult (particularly wet) growing seasons through 2022 and 2023 have brought discussions on climate change further to the forefront.
Hawke’s Bay Wine Region Joining GWCGN
The Hawke’s Bay wine region, supported by the twin cities of Napier and Hastings, located on the stunning east coast of New Zealand’s North Island, has recently been welcomed into the esteemed Great Wine Capitals Global Network, joining other top wine regions such as Bordeaux, Cape Town, and San Francisco-Napa Valley.
