Vis à Vis Weinbar & Restaurant in Osthofen represents a combination of sophisticated, regionally inspired cuisine, a comprehensive wine list with a “Rheinhessen flavour”, and a unique atmosphere. For this connection, the restaurant received the Best of Wine Tourism Award 2017 in the category “wine gastronomy”.
Small but fine – On the daily menu, there is a varied selection of seasonal specialities with gourmet quality. In addition to the Spiess winery’s own wines, the menu also includes products from other award-winning and friendly wineries. The unusual surroundings of a converted “Kuhkapelle” (a cross vault cellar) of a former wine trading house with a courtyard make the taste experience perfect!

On the menu, you will find salad of North Sea crabs with wild herbs, fish soup with noble fish, saddle of veal or tuna steak. Great wines from winegrower in the region complete the taste experience. Just as inviting as the menu is the atmosphere. The interior of the small restaurant is cosy and stylish at the same time. In the spacious inner courtyard with its Mediterranean flair, you can spend a mild summer evening.
With their concept, they convinced not only the guests but also a top-class jury of experts and received the Best of Wine Tourism Award 2018 in the category “wine gastronomy”. This year they were also awarded five stars by Restaurantguide Gault-Millau for the stars for the best regional wine list.
Authentic wine cuisine-experience

In the Zornheimer Weinstuben architecture, wine, cuisine and hospitality interact to create an atmosphere of well-being. Since 2004, gastronomes and couple Lucas and Marijana Christgen manage the restaurant in the municipality of Rheinland-Pfalz. They are the current winners of the Best of Wine Tourism Awards in the category “wine gastronomy”.
In the half-timbered house on Röhrbrunnenplatz in Zornheim, Lucas and Marijana serve regional products and dishes and combine them with top wines from Rheinhessen. The dishes reflect an upscale, modern country cuisine – with a Mediterranean twist. Croatian cuisine from Marijana’s home country also makes its mark on the menu: King prawns and grilled fresh fish like pike-perch. Occasional menu and rarity evenings from cooperating wineries complete the gastronomic experience.
