Wine Fandango, the latest addition to the growing group of gastrobars in Logroño, has just received the 2014 Award for Entrepreneurship sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce of La Rioja. The award comes with a 3.000 euro cash prize.

UNESCO (United Nations Education, Science and Culture Organization) recently added Bilbao to its Creative Cities Network in the ‘Design' category.
This international recognition allows Bilbao to join a select group of global cities recognized for design along with Berlin, Buenos Aires, Beijing, Shanghai, Montreal, Seoul, Nagoya, Kobe, Shenzen, Saint Étienne and Graz.
Other cities joining the Creative Cities Network in the Design category in 2014 are Helsinki (Finland), Torino (Italy), Curitiba (Brazil) and Dundee (Great Britain).
The Symington family saw two of its wines distinguished: the Dow's 2011 Vintage with 99 points out of 100, distinguished as wine of the year, occupying the 1st position, and the Chryseia 2011 on 3rd with 97 points.
The Quinta do Vale Meão 2011, a wine made by the Olazabal family, stayed on the 4th position, also with 97 points out of 100.
2011 was indeed an exceptional year for the Douro wine.
Porto’s Airport - Francisco Sá Carneiro - will end 2014 with a new passenger record. After overpassing 6 million passengers in 2011, it expects to reach, three years later, seven million passengers.
The number was announced by the airport’s director Fernando Vieira, at the conference “Tourism 2020”, in Alfandega do Porto. "Until September, we had 5,3 million passengers, which represents an increase of 8,3%, and a load factor of 81%, which also represents an increase of 1,2 ".
